Does anyone know if a parish council has to supply copies of a councillors register of interests under the FOI act.
I know that members of the public can view them and take notes from them but there appears to be conflicting advice on whether the public can be permitted to have photocopies of the information. |

I don't see why the public should not have access to this information under the FOI act. As it is the Cllr's declaration of interests surely it's for all to know? |

I am not aware that community councils have a register of interests. We have to declare any interests at the start of every meeting.
It then becomes part of the minutes and is available to the public.

Councillors Register of interests must be displayed on their website or that of the (as in our case) District Councils website. This then avoids the problem of people asking for copies as they are available for viewing by anybody. |
