Can any one direct me to guidance on the duties and responsibilities of the clerk? The statutory duties (guidance, minutes, accounts and correspondence etc) seem clear but there doesn't seem very much information on the way in which clerks are expected to function during meetings and in their dealings with parishioners issues out side of the meetings.

I have also been looking for information or guidance on what the roles of a Parish Council are. We are often getting questions from members of the public asking for information about the roles of Parish Councils, and even, would you believe, why we are able and allowed to receive the funds we do to do the work we perform!

A nice, short peice about the roles and responsibilites of Parish Councils would be great if anyone out there has one!

Thanks,
Rebecca
